With the Cube pattern in PET felt on your wall you minimise sound reflection from hard surfaces and dress the space in style. It is a sustainable and stylish solution with acoustic properties. Compose your own pattern with a choice of 48 colours from our range.
Play with the colours and pick a different colour for each part of the cube, or go for uniformity with a single colour or a colour segment. A cube part measures 346 mm by 200 mm and is 9 mm thick. A set contains 23 pieces of part A, 23 pieces of part B and 23 pieces of part C. The cube parts have a so-called bevel cut. That means we finish the panel edge with a groove, so the patterns line up perfectly.

PET felt is made from recycled material. This means there can be colour differences between batches. Everything ordered in a single order comes from the same batch. With repeat orders, however, it may be a different batch. In addition, PET felt sheets have a front and a back and a fibre direction that you need to take into account during installation. How visible this is varies per colour. When processing the sheets, our advice is to place them in the same direction to keep any colour differences to a minimum. Unfortunately, we cannot take back orders once placed or sheets and products once ordered. All orders we deliver are made to measure.

The importance of acoustics
What do we actually mean by acoustics? Acoustics concerns the influence a room has on the sound and reverberation within it. You experience acoustics in every room you enter. Good acoustics are essential for businesses, schools and hospitality, but certainly also at home. Guests should be able to dine at ease, pupils should be able to study with focus, and in an office you need to be able to work with concentration. The acoustic wall panels and ceiling panels made of PET felt have a sound-dampening effect. PET felt absorbs sound and, unlike hard materials, prevents sound from bouncing around the room.
Extra sound-insulating properties
Would you like extra sound-insulating properties? Then choose an additional layer of insulation behind the PET felt. Apply a 5-centimetre-thick insulation layer behind the felt for even better acoustics. This layer is not coloured and not pretty either, but purely functional. Apply this layer first and then apply PET felt on top in a design and colour of your choice.

Cleaning PET felt, which is widely used for acoustic panels, requires care to preserve the quality of the material. Although PET felt is durable and made from recycled plastic bottles, it needs specific attention when cleaning. Below are some tips to maintain PET felt properly:

Brandclassificatie: B – s2, d0
De brandklasse van een product zegt iets over de mate waarin een product bijdraagt aan de ontwikkeling van een brand en/of de rookvorming. Kortom, hoe beter een brandklasse des te kleiner is de kans dat een brand ontstaat of groter wordt door de bijdrage van het product. Het PET-vilt van Tacito heeft een brandklasse van B – s2, d0. Maar wat betekent dit?
B: De eerste letter in de classificatie van de brandklasse geeft aan hoe brandbaar een product is en loopt van A t/m F. Hierbij is A onbrandbaar en F uiterst brandbaar. Dit betekent dat het PET-vilt van Tacito zeer moeilijk brandbaar is, omdat deze in brandklasse B valt.
s2: De letter s staat voor ‘smoke’. Het gaat hier om de rookontwikkeling tijdens de brand. Er wordt onderscheid gemaakt in drie klasses: s1: Geringe rookproductie; s2: Gemiddelde rookproductie; s3: Grote rookproductie. Het PET-vilt van Tacito valt in klasse s2.
d0: De letter d staat voor ‘drupping’. Het gaat hier om druppels en delen die naar beneden komen waardoor er snel nieuwe brandhaarden kunnen ontstaan. Er wordt onderscheid gemaakt in drie klasses: d0: Geen productie van brandende delen; d1: Delen branden korter dan 10 seconden; d2: Delen branden langer dan 10 seconden. Het PET-vilt van Tacito valt in klasse d0.
Op verzoek kunnen wij een classificatierapport toesturen.
1. Zelf op maat snijden van PET-vilt gaat vrij eenvoudig. Gebruik hiervoor een goed scherp mes en bij voorkeur een goede stevige liniaal van metaal.
2. Snij het PET-vilt met een rustige beweging langs de liniaal. Herhaal een aantal keer deze beweging in dezelfde snede voor het beste resultaat. Hierdoor hoef je ook minder kracht te gebruiken.
3. Heb je voorkeur voor het gebruik van een zaag, gebruik dan een invalzaag met een fijntandige zaagblad en een hoge snelheid. LET OP: Voor dat je aan de slag gaat is het raadzaam om de juiste zaagsnelheid te bepalen.
4. Breng de montagekit aan op een afstand van 5 cm vanaf de buitenzijde van de panelen (A). Verdeel een ruime sliert in het midden (B). Gebruik 1 tube Tacito’s montagekit voor 2 panelen van 1200×2400 mm (5,76 m2) voor een optimale hechting en montage.
